Improving Official Statistics

IAOS (International Association for Official Statistics) is an association founded in 1985. It is an international non-governmental organization (NGO), which was created and developed as a specialized section of the International Statistical Institute (ISI). It is a voluntary organization whose members are scattered around the globe, mostly doing a full time job, rarely meeting and supported by a very small office.
The objectives of the Association shall be to promote the understanding and advancement of official statistics and related subjects and to foster the development of effective and efficient official statistical services through international contacts among individuals and organizations, including users of official statistics as well as research institutes.

Registration for the 17th International Association for Official Statistics Conference and 3rd International Statistical Institute Regional Statistics Conference to be held in Livingstone, Zambia from 4 -6 April 2023 is still open

Draft Conference Programme, Guidelines for Chairs and Speakers are NOW available on the conference website.

The Conference is jointly organized by the IAOS, ISI and the Zambia Statistics Agency – ZamStats.
