Dr. Ahmad Hussein is a distinguished statistician and demographer with over 35 years of experience dedicated to advancing official statistics in Qatar and internationally.  He was the principal architect of Qatar’s first National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (2008-2013) , and currently he is active to modernize Qatar’s statistical system in line with the Sustainable Development Agenda 2030. Ahmad is a former Director of the Statistics Division at UN-ESCWA, where he formulated strategic frameworks, authored UN methodological guidelines, and managed a diverse portfolio of international statistical projects.
