Ms. Nancy McBeth, Consultant at Gulf Cooperation Council Statistics Centre (from New Zealand)
Ms Nancy McBeth is a Consultant with the Statistical Centre for the Cooperation Council for the Arab Countries of the Gulf (“GCC Stat”), based in Oman, with particular responsibility for Population Censuses in the region. She joined GCC-Stat in 2014 after four years working with the Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi (SCAD).

Nancy's experience and strong interest in official statistics were formed in her native country - New Zealand. Over a 25 year period, Nancy undertook a number of operational and senior management roles with Statistics New Zealand; including leadership of the 2006 New Zealand Census. During her time at Statistics New Zealand, Nancy began her active involvement in international statistical forums, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region.

Nancy's qualifications include an MA in Political Science. She was appointed to the IAOS Executive Committee in 2013
