Lidija Brković is the Director General of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (CBS).  She has been in this role since 2019  and acts as the primary spokesperson for the country’s statistical system before international and European statistical authorities. Prior to that, Ms Brković worked for more than ten years at the Croatian National Bank, serving in expert and advisory roles in accounting, monetary, financial, and general statistics. She began her career in 2005 at the Ministry of Defense.

Lidija graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb, where she also completed postgraduate specialist studies in Financial Institutions and Markets.
