Hossein Hassani has over 20 years of experience in data science, official statistics, applied and theoretical statistics, AI and digital twins, machine learning and big data analytics. He has worked with diverse international and intergovernmental organisations, including national statistical offices and UN agencies, and has led multidisciplinary teams around the world to address complex real-world challenges.

He has served on the editorial boards of several journals in various capacities, including as Editor-in-Chief. Hossein has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed journal articles and seven books, secured substantial research funding as a lead investigator, and received multiple national and international awards, including recognition among the world’s top 2% of scientists. His research and commentary have been featured in major media outlets such as The Guardian and the Financial Times.
