IAOS is pleased to advise that the March 2025 issue of the SJIAOS has been published. This special Issue focuses on the role of official statistics in “Improving Decision Making for All”, the overarching theme of the 2024 IAOS-ISI Conference. It opens with ten articles showcasing the diverse avenues in which official statistics can feed informed-based decisions in the private and public sectors.
This issue also includes two thematic sections, one on “Principles and ethics of official statistics” and the other on “Miscellaneous topics”, each including four papers reflecting the vibrancy and diversity of current research in official statistics. From the discussion of universal principles and ethical frameworks to the introduction of innovative methodologies in various domains, this issue presents a compelling snapshot of how official statistics continue to evolve to meet global challenges.
