Teodora Brandmueller is an economist by training, with a strong interest in translating numbers into compelling narratives. Following a Tempus scholarship in Aarhus, Denmark, and an Erasmus semester in Germany, she graduated from the University of Pécs, Hungary. She has been working at Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, for more than 20 years, with a professional focus on subnational and regional statistics. Since 2011, she has been co-editor of the Eurostat regional yearbook. In recent years, she has also played an active role in the IAOS Standing Committee on Regional and Urban Statistics (SCORUS).
