2018 IAOS – OECD Young Scholars for Better Statistics Award
Announcement of winners
“Better Statistics for Better Lives”
The International Association for Official Statistics (IAOS) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) are pleased to announce that the International Selection Committee for the 2018 IAOS-OECD Young Scholars for Better Statistics Award (YSBS) has completed its review and rating of the papers submitted for this year’s competition. The Committee was favourably impressed by the general quality of the papers and judging them was a demanding process.
The results are as follows:
First Place: Milica Maricic, “Assessing the quality of life in the European Union: The European Index of Life Satisfaction (EILS)”, University of Belgrade.
Second Place: Hong Anh Luu*, “The technical conversion factor and its relation with the price ratio of processing livestock”, Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
